Bush/Schiavo

the 3rd Bush , contrary to commonly heard republican themes about letting the individual be responsible, and smaller government, intrusively, grew the government, overreached himself, representing the government, into a family situation that was being taken care of independently.  This is what he is used to, getting his own way, by stepping on whatever he needs to to get what he wants.  THAT is the true republican way.  Same as FATSO in JERSEY.  This girl was dead.  without tubes, she was going to die.  let nature take it's course.  But no, He intruded and went to great lengths to do so.  including sponsoring a special bill giving him clearance to  After her husband obtained a court order to pull her life-support in 2002, Bush worked with the state legislature to pass a bill that would give the governor the power to reinsert Schiavo’s feeding tubes., specially creating a a law that only affected ONE person!   this is not a MISTAKE, this is a meditated, thought out activist (doing whatever you want) intrusion into the private lives of Americans, based on religion. His religion.  

IT is his first failure, to force religion into the state apparatus, specifically, republican right religion.  Totalitarian.. A true despot. Perhaps even a god as he speaks of what only a god can know   -  “absolute truth” 

Bush told reporters he was “disappointed, not for any political reasons, but for the moral reasons.”

He called his personal police department - “I requested that FDLE in concert with the Department of Children and Families be prepared to enter,” Bush told reporters, 

He needed legal walls to hide behind before he ordered police to do anything.  Bush told reporters, “We were ready to go.....“if that was going to be the option available to us

“We were ready to go,” a Bush spokesman told the Miami Herald. “We didn’t want to break the law.”

What makes him “untrustworthy,” he said, is that he fought the courts as long as he did just because he didn’t like the decisions they kept making. “I wouldn’t trust him in any type of political office,” he said.

Bottom line:  MAJOR EXECUTIVE OVERREACH.  ON A PERSONAL WHIM. AT A SMALL EXECUTIVE LEVEL.
